How do I set up text-to-bid for my event?
Text-to-bid lets guests place bids by SMS — no app download required. It’s the fastest way to get a room bidding on event night. Setup takes about five minutes from the Auction Manager.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You’ll need an open auction with at least one item, and a verified organization phone number on file. Text-to-bid uses your dedicated short code — it’s provisioned automatically when your auction goes live.
Turn it on
Section titled “Turn it on”- Open Auction Settings → Bidding.
- Toggle Enable text-to-bid.
- Choose which item categories accept SMS bids.
- Save. Your short code appears on each item’s detail page.
